23. Point and Line Defects I (Intro to Solid-State Chemistry)

Happy Monday everyone! How you all doing? You  know it's good because it's a goodie bag day   and so I'll get to what you have in your hands in  this lecture. Today-- So we've been talking about   these things for a while now, right? We've built  up an understanding of the stamp and the basis,   and then we understood how to talk about it  like in terms of the planes and the symmetries,   and then we shined x-rays on it, and now we're  going to start taking them all apart. And so don't   be sad, don't be sad, because actually that's more  real-- that's more real. And that's what we'll   talk about today.
